Easter Weekend

David had a three day weekend (Creighton doesn't have school on Good Friday), so we were really excited to have a nice weekend. Isabel colored Easter eggs on Thursday, and she seemed to think the dye was "joose" and kept trying to drink it. For those that don't know, it has vinegar in it, but she didn't seem to mind, as you can see from her blue mustache. She kept trying to take sips when I turned away and got mad when I told her we shouldn't drink it.

On Friday we went to the zoo (it was David's first time) and we had lots of fun. We have a great zoo out here if anyone wants to come visit us:) There is an exhibit called "kingdom of the night". It is kinda freaky (all sorts of nocturnal animals, caves, bats, snakes, crocodiles, and all sorts of weird stuff. Plus it is all dark, so Isabel was pretty nervous and this is how she looked while we were down there.
Our ward had a nice dinner on friday night with a little egg hunt. Isabel didn't know quite what to do, but she was really happy to play with this egg the whole night.

We went to a nearby lake and had a hot dog roast for lunch on saturday. Isabel had fun playing with some friends and throwing rocks in the water.
Enjoying her cookie and the beautiful sunshine.

Snuggling up to her little friend. She gets a smile on her face whenever she sees him. They play really well together and he is so sweet to watch out for her!

Modeling some of the cute stuff the Easter Bunny left her. Notice how David thought it was funny to put ALL her bows in her hair. Now they are scattered all over the house and I can't find them all:) Silly daddy. Isabel walked around all morning, playing with her "bunny sippers"

Being a little sweetheart before Stake Conference.

Here is our handsome little guy with his cool bar of soap and some cute summer clothes next to him.

We had a nice easter dinner with yummy ham and good food. We wish we could be with family, but we feel so blessed to have so many wonderful friends out here. Happy Easter. It is a wonderful thing to celebrate the greatest gift our Savior gave: HIS LIFE! I am so thankful that he made the ultimate sacrifice and rose again so that I can be together forever with my family.

What a good time. She's just like a little model. You better be careful with that one. :)
